“InfantSEE”
(IS) is an eyecare program especially designed for children in the first
year of life. Its mission is to eradicate amblyopia (lazy eyes) and
significantly reduce strabismus (crossed eyes). IS will enable us to
diagnose and manage eye diseases and significant refractive problems that
could affect the child’s development throughout the rest of their life.
“InfantSEE” eye assessments will help assure your child gets off to a good
start.
We feel so strongly about
this program that the doctors and staff of EyeCare Associates, Inc. are
volunteering our eye care services, without charge, by providing an
assessment during the infants first year of life. Paperwork and insurance
considerations are eliminated. This is a well-designed assessment of your
infant’s eyes with comparable expecteds of your child’s eye development
during the first year of life. This program
is not a substitute for regular pediatric well-baby care.
We will supply you, as parents,
with a table of your child’s first year of life expecteds, at intervals of
one month, three months, six months, nine months and 12 months. You will
receive a report of how your child is progressing and what your options are
for the lifetime care of your child’s eyes. You will have an opportunity to
ask questions concerning the eye and vision assessment. We will furnish your
pediatrician a copy of the report of our findings and subsequent
recommendations.
Feel free to ask your
obstetrician, pediatrician or family practitioners about the most important
part of infant health. If they are not familiar with “InfantSEE” or have any
questions, please do not hesitate to ask them to call us.
