Dale Potter, OD

Dale Potter, OD, is a primary care optometrist in Decatur, Alabama with over 40 years of experience providing eye care and teaching others in an optometric professional setting. Dr. Potter completed his undergraduate education at the University of Alabama, where he worked briefly in the area of pharmacology before deciding to apply to Optometry School. After graduating with honors as a Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Student from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry, Dr. Potter moved back to provide eye care in a private practice in Cullman, AL in 1980.

In 1983, Dr. Potter was offered an exciting opportunity to pursue a teaching career at the University of Missouri Saint Louis (UMSL) College of Optometry. After teaching for nearly 10 years, Dr. Potter decided to return home to the south where he currently provides full-scope optometric care and annual eye exams in Decatur, Alabama.

In his free time, Dr. Potter's interests include providing free eye examinations and glasses on church related mission trips, going to MLB baseball parks, and spending time with his three grandchildren.
