Douglas DeVore, OD

Douglas DeVore, OD is a comprehensive optometrist in Enterprise, AL at EyeCare Associates. Dr. DeVore, an Illinois native, graduated from Illinois State University in 1979 with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry followed by graduating from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1983. Dr. DeVore has practiced full-scope therapeutic optometry, including Lasik evaluations, co-management of Lasik, and cataract surgery patients, and sports-related contact lens fittings.

"I've wanted to be a doctor since I was a child. As I grew up, my local optometrists were very helpful in encouraging me to pursue optometry. So by the age of 13 , I knew I wanted to be an optometrist. So much so that on my optometry school application, I listed optometry as my 1st, 2nd and other career choices!"

Dr. DeVore is married with 7 children. He and his wife live on a 7-acre homestead and raise chickens. Dr. DeVore also enjoys Crossfit, hiking, kayaking, and any other outside activities. Dr. DeVore also plays the guitar and piano in his free time. Dr. DeVore recently moved to southern Alabama and is looking forward to seeing patients seeking eye care in Enterprise, Alabama at EyeCare Associates.
